Develop with your audience and do something of a lean creation.
Interview potential customers while you are developing the product. Don’t develop something based on just your ideas make sure you get their feedback before you start creating anything.
Be positive but also be realistic it would help to know about the sales cycle and what makes people buy.
If you can learn how to do pre cells before your product officially drops this would be more market validation than people actually want what you are building. The Lean Startup method from Eric Ries is a great resource for this.
Become your customer and really embrace your customer experience and make sure that you solve a burning problem that people are willing to pay for the solution.
