Escaping the Build Trap

This book refers to product development to achieve success.

Hello firstname, I hope you have learned something from this campaign so far.
Escaping the build trap.

Daily routine for success….

product development

working framework

Time management

It needs to be long enough to accomplish your goal, which is to get people to buy your core offer and stick with you.

Start with your final product and think about what offers you can make at each stage to qualify leads and start converting them to buyers. Then, make your sales funnel just as long as it needs to be.

Take care and talk soon.

✓ Day 2 – Real talk… Why do we want to learn about funnels?

Hello firstname,

Here’s the daily funnel tip:

Not sure what a marketing or sales funnel is helpful for?

The goal is to simplify your marketing and to build your email list. It will take time to build a large email list so it’s better to start earlier than later.

A marketing funnel allows you to automatically distribute your digital products, collect your customer’s emails, and deliver automated marketing communication to them for a period of time.

Every business owner and content creator needs their own funnel. And there are many free options available to you until you earn the capital to purchase more services.

Let’s get to it. Your funnel will not build itself.

Take care and talk soon.

—Delles

✓✓ Day 3 – Let’s talk: What can you offer to the world?

Hey firstname,

Here’s the daily funnel tip:

When creating a sales funnel of offers, there are many decisions to make and I know personally that it’s easy to get overwhelmed or not know where to start.

You have to decide:

  • What offers to make at what stage
  • Escape the build trap

Each funnel and each target market is different, but there’s one best practice that all sales funnels need to have…

You need to offer value to your customers with each offer.

I prefer to look at problems my target customers are having. And then my offers are related to solutions for them.

If someone solves a problem you are having, that is valuable.

Think about it.

What can you offer to the world?

Write down a list if you haven’t already.

Warmly,

—Delles

st step.

Your funnel diagram is a step-by-step flow diagram of the events that take your prospect from “cold lead” to “a customer who has made a purchase”.

We will talk more about how to do this in future messages. This is a fundamental skill of funnel-based marketing.

If you want to start creating yours, you can use a tool like Draw.io or Google Drawings.

Your friend,

—Delles

c to your funnels like Nascar

Hello firstname,

Let’s make today a good one! I hope you have learned something from this series so far.

Here’s the daily funnel tip:

One of the biggest skills any entrepreneur should have is the ability to drive traffic. And not just any type of traffic but qualified traffic.

Driving traffic is the act of getting eyes on something. If you had a website and wanted more people to see it, then you would drive traffic by telling your friends to go to the site.

You might use a platform like Instagram or Twitter to drive traffic by creating content and telling people if they want more then go to your site.

Your funnels become more potent when you start with a problem. And then drive qualified traffic to your funnel.

These are people who you strongly believe have the problem you have worked to resolve. These are not random people in your network or from the internet.

They have something in common. They likely have the problem you are solving. If you can drive a bunch of qualified traffic to your funnel, then you can convert a portion to email subscribers.

The industry average is 4% of traffic that hits a landing page is converted to email subscribers.

Just know that Value, Novelty, A Great Headline or Cover Image, Lead Magnets are some of the catalysts to driving traffic to your assets. We will talk about each of them in the messages to come.

Peace,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 6 – What do magnets do?  OK… What do lead magnets do?

Hello firstname,

It’s a great day to learn more about funnels for your biz.

I’ve got a special daily funnel tip for you:

After you have diagrammed your funnel from start to finish (first rough draft), then you can begin to think about your Lead Magnet.

A lead magnet is usually a downloadable e-book, PDF, video, or something of the sort that is exclusive for people who submit their emails to be on your email list.

The best types of lead magnets are

And there are many more.

What type of lead magnet would they be interested in?

Start creating that!

Please review the topics we have covered so far and start working on your funnel today.

Join the Ground Up Biz Slack community where we help each other build our funnels. Just reply “Let’s grow my funnel” to this email and I will send you an invite.

Talk soon,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 7 – You don’t need money to create your first funnel

Hello firstname,

I hope you are doing well!

Let’s talk about working on your funnel today. Remember, it’s a lot easier to maintain and grow your funnel once it’s running.

If you are short on capital, you can still develop your funnel and test it. More importantly, you can start building your email list today.

Your email list will be one of the greatest assets of your biz. It is your Rolodex.

So how much dol?

You can get the Landing page for free. It only costs if you want to put your own custom domain like www.groundupbiz.com.

Once your is live, you can start driving traffic and converting a portion of that traffic to email subscribers.

As you grow your list and get more comfortable with the process, you can upgrade to get more advanced features like auto-responders.

Auto-respcan help you create your funnel:

I think the best strategy is to do your research and test each of these software on the free version. Or just pick one and gain your experience by practicing.

Whatever you do, just get started! We will discuss more in the future.

Your friend,

—Delles

Dear firstname,

Today is a great day. Let’s make the most of it!

In this email, I want to cover Lead Magnets again.

How long should it take to create your lead magnet?

It shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to create your first edition.

We want to get feedback from our target audience and they will give us tips on how to improve.

How do I know if I made a good lead magnet?

If you target customer says that they can use your lead magnet to solve their problem then you are on the right track.

Just make improvements as you become more of an expert and understand their problems more. Also use their feedback to make the magnet more valuable to them.

If you can do this, then you will be able to draw your prospects in with your Lead Magnet, the start of your sales funnel.

If you want to learn more about how lead magnets can help you, you can read my post here.

It has been a pleasure to teach you so far. If you have any questions, just reply to this email.

Talk soon,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 9 – Simple sales funnels help you win clients

Hey firstname,

Every entrepreneur has that one thing hanging over their head… the need to get more clients for their business.

After all, without clients, there is no business.

We use sales funnels to help us with that. A nicely designed funnel allows you to get the permission of your prospect to market to them in the future.

Over time, your email communication builds K-L-T with your prospect better known as Know-Like-Trust.

If your emails are designed to resolve the root problem you are solving, then you will likely get more engagement with your writing if you persist.

Sales funnels are simple but they can become complex. We want to start by creating your first simple funnel so you can see how it helps your biz.

We can always improve it later!

If you’re ready to get started, join the Slack community where we help each other build our funnels. And we can test your funnel and provide feedback.

It’s free to join and it only takes about 2 minutes before you’re live and in the conversation. Just reply “Let’s grow my funnel” to this email.

If you have any questions, you can always reply to this email too.

P.S. Check out this Simple Sales Funnel Diagram below (image). This is what we will be covering in future emails so stay tuned.

Talk to you soon,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 10 – Why should I lead with value?

Hello firstname,

Start the day with gratitude!

There is much to be happy about. And with funnels, our future is brighter than ever.

Today’s topic is VALUE. A quote I want to share with you is…

“You don’t get paid by the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to the hour.”

– Jim Rohn

To be specific, you get paid for the value you bring to the marketplace.

At the core of every purchase we make is the intent to get something more valuable than what we paid for it.

When you create content and products or services that bring value to the people you serve, you WILL get recognized for it.

Over time, people will associate your brand with value to them. And when something is valuable to us, we share it with those we care about.

The message to get here is: Think about what is valuable to your customer.

Think about what you can create to help them take one step forward on their journey to a better life.

Create SOMETHING, and make it more valuable by getting feedback and sharpening your product.

Asking simple questions to your prospect can steer you in the right direction:

  • Did you find this resource valuable?
  • What would make this resource more valuable to you?

When you understand value, you can create a funnel that is much more likely to convert new leads to sales. So don’t skip this exercise.

That’s all for today!

Have you found any of these emails valuable so far?

Then please share this email list with a friend so they can learn about funnels: www.groundupbiz.gr8.com

Have a nice day,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 11 – Hoping to help… Sharing some gems on Landing pages in this one.

Hello firstname,

It’s a great day to be alive!

We have talked about a few topics and I hope you have learned something from these emails.

It has been an honor to share this information with you.

Remember, information becomes more powerful when you APPLY it.

With that in mind, let’s talk about your Landing Page today.

The sole purpose of the landing page is to convert qualified visitors to email subscribers.

*** The image at the bottom of this email shows that your landing page is the first platform your prospect interacts with. ***

Our goal is not a website (with all the tabs/pages and content) but rather a simple landing page.

We want to create a landing page with:

  1. Attractive colors
  2. Great copywriting (we will talk more about this)
  3. Ease of use for your prospect

You may meet your prospect on social media or in-person and say “Hey, go to my website and sign up for my free e-book.”

They will arrive at your LANDING PAGE and the copywriting, as well as the page design, will convince them to submit their contact information. You may also include ike.

Start with the leaders in your niche. Visit their social media pages and start clicking some Bio links.

Reminder: You are looking for a landing page.

You can tell you are on a landing page if the site has a freebie involved in exchange for your contact information.

If the site is just a bunch of information with content, then it’s probably a full-on website. If the site has several topics and not one singular lead magnet marketed then it is probably a website.

Landing pages are typically just one page but it can be a long page where your prospect can scroll.

It may take some time to build but every hour invested is worth it.

Funnels can really launch your business to the next level. We’ve talked about your lead magnet which is what “pulls” new prospects in, and the next core piece is your Landing page.

This is what you need to know about Landing Pages, read my blog post here for more.

In the blog post, I teach you:

Check it out, you don’t want to miss this information.

The purpose of this email is to move you towards building your landing page today. If you don’t start, then you cannot finish.

“I don’t have business cards yet.”

“I don’t know what I am selling yet.”

“I need to post better content before…”

Get rid of the excuses! You can create the first version of your funnel for free.

You can get your landing page up before you have an official website. So get to it!

I hope you are motivated to start designing. You can improve the design over time and with feedback.

You will thank yourself when your marketing has been made more simple with automation.

If you want any questions, just reply to this message. No question is a silly question.

Your friend,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 13 – Great, another email!  What is it this time?

Dear firstname,

Today brings a new chance for you to live it up.

If you’re reading this email, you are alive! That’s huge.

Let’s enjoy the day and reflect on what we are grateful for as well as what we have learned so far.

If you want to, you can review some of the previous blog posts I have shared in this campaign:

  1. How to make a Lead Magnet
  2. How to build a Landing Page that converts

An idea I want to share with you is MFP which stands for maximum fun potential.

MFP is not directly related to sales funnels.

No matter what you are doing ask: Is this the most fun I could be having at this moment?

As adults, we just don’t have as much fun as we used to.

So you can use this idea to be somewhat childlike again. You can use MFP to brainstorm creative ways to turn what you’re doing into a more fun experience.

It doesn’t always work.

But when it does, you end up having a lot more fun in your day.

Ask yourself these questions and DO SOMETHING with your answers:

  • Is this the most fun I could be having at this moment?
  • What could I do to make this more fun?
  • What could I do to have more fun today?

This is your homework. Seriously!

Have some fun today and enjoy it.

If you’re working, find something fun to do on your break.

If you’re not working today, add something else that could be fun.

It won’t hurt.

Let me know how you’re having some fun today, just reply to this message.

We will continue with the sales funnel education in the next email.

Talk soon,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 14 – Want to show you something important: Your Target Customer

Hello firstname,

Funnels will make your marketing simpler and more streamlined.

So it’s awesome that you’re learning about them now.

Kudos to you for making it this far!

Let’s take a look at your target customer today.

Your target customer is who your business is designed to serve.

Each business has a particular customer profile or several customer profiles that they serve.

However, if you look at successful businesses, you will see for the most part they do not cater to every person in the world.

Each business has a particular customer type and great businesses spend time thinking about and creating solutions for that specific customer identity.

Once you know who that is, you can start finding the best places to attract your customers to send them to your funnel.

Each platform is different. If you want to build an audience of only professionals, you don’t use Instagram as your first choice.

If you want to build an audience that’s mostly over the age of 45, then Tik Tok may not be the best place to create your presence.

Today’s email is a reminder to

Look at Reddit threads in “subreddits” (groups) where your target customer is likely to be.

Join Facebook groups where your target customer is having conversations about things they like or dislike.

Watch YouTube videos that your target customer would be interested in and read the comments for clues on their desires and challenges in life.

You want to study and take a lot of notes.

This information will help you with being more intentional in your marketing and networking.

Here’s one of the best worksheets I’ve found for creating your target customer profile: click here to view and download the worksheet.

Complete the worksheet and save it in your business folder.

Time spent studying and really thinking about your target customer “in their shoes” is not wasted time.

It takes a while to build an audience but you will have an edge if you know exactly who you are looking for and what makes them light up.

That’s all for today.

If you have any questions or thoughts, just reply to this message.

Sincerely,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 15 – This just might be the best thing since sliced bread…

Dear firstname,

Words have power.

And the right words can move people to action!

This is why today’s focus is copywriting.

Copywriting is the next best thing since sliced bread. Here’s why…

What is copywriting?

Copywriting is the act of writing text for advertising or marketing purposes.

Copy or sales copy, is written content that aims to increase brand awareness and persuade a person to take a particular action.

Why do we use it?

We use copywriting to communicate and to sell or persuade.

Copywriting is a skill you want to practice. And you have been practicing every day.

However, you may not have intentionally applied the rules of copywriting.

It can be the difference between people ignoring you or buying from you.

For this reason, it is worth getting better.

How can I become a better copywriter?

Learn the basics. There are a few principles that you will use every time you write sales copy.

Once you know these basics, you will always have them in mind. And you can reference them in the future whenever you need to.

Here are two of the best YouTube videos on copywriting basics. Check them out if you’re interested:

Don’t count yourself out before you try.

You CAN do it.

✓✓ Day 16 – [[firstname]], let’s talk more about copywriting!

Howdy firstname,

“You are one funnel away from living your dream life.”

Starting with a statement like that has some major weight.

There is truth to it.

But one piece that can be overlooked in your funnel is the copywriting… so that’s why we are talking about it AGAIN.

So pay attention to this skill and work hard to improve on it.

When you create, you need to understand the attention span and emotions of your reader.

Copywriting is not about fancy words or looking smart. Here are some of the core principles

This is good practice.

When you see writing online that gets your attention, bookmark the page or ad.

Pay attention to copy that “stops you in your tracks” when you are just browsing on social media or online.

Copy & paste the text into a document or notepad file for later reference. This will be your archive of good copy ideas.

With this inspiration, you can practice and model what is already working.

All principles of copywriting may not apply every time you write.

But it’s powerful to know what you are writing and WHY you are writing in that way for maximum effect.

Have your friends read your copy and ask them if they felt moved by the words.

Practice will make you a better copywriter and this skill will be in high demand for decades to come.

If you’re working on a project, like your funnel, that needs copywriting…

Should you hire a copywriter?

At least give an honest attempt at writing your copy. Don’t count yourself out before you try.

If you want to hire a professional, then you will probably pay somewhere around $25-$50/hour for an entry-level copywriter. More experienced copywriters charge more per hour or project.

You may be able to find a cheaper rate on Fiverr or by shopping around online. Just know it won’t be cheap for quality work.

Now that we’ve covered this…

Here’s a blog post about one of the best copywriting books I’ve read so far: 31 Copywriting Secrets You Should Know

Start practicing your copy today! You will not regret the time invested in this skill.

Join the Ground Up Biz Slack community where we help each other build our funnels. Just reply “Let’s grow my funnel” to this email and I will send you an invite.

Your friend,

—Delles

P.S. Consider signing up for a website like Medium or Twitter to get more writing practice.

✓✓ Day 17 – I had this idea since we last spoke

Dear firstname,

“We must learn what customers really want, not what they say they want or what we think they should want.” – Eric Ries, the Lean Startup

We’ve talked a bit about your offer previously. Today, we will revisit the topic.

If you already have an offer or offers developed you may want to skip this message…

Do you want freedom?

Do you want people to pay for the value you have created and your price?

Creating your offers is what gives your funnel context. Creating great offers is how you AND your customers win.

Understand what your lowest ticket to your highest ticket offers are in a stair-step manner. This is referred to as a value ladder (image at the bottom)

Your offers are the bridge to accomplishing your desires. Your offers will be the saving grace for your customers to get to their desired state in life as well.

Use the Build, Measure, Learn loop from The Lean Startup to develop (image at bottom). This will bring the feeling of knowing your product is always improving in some manner.

Create your MVP (which stands for minimum viable product) or beta and start distributing to your target audience before it’s perfect – it just needs to be working enough for a realistic test. Collect their feedback and improve.

Take the shortest amount of time to produce a beta.

Get feedback in beta to have your customers experience and “break stuff.” Use their feedback to increase the value of your offer.

Some of the best books on how to do this are (ranked by how valuable they are in my library):

Take all the previous market research and what you know about your audience and pick a problem. Then, design a solution.

Have your friends test your solution but more importantly, have your target market use your product.

Brainstorm with them and ask them what you can do to make it more useful.

If you want to learn more about naming your offer, stacking your offer, and creating something that can’t be easily compared you can read my Alex Hormozi post here.

Work on your core offer today. And consider your supplementary offers.

Think about how your offers will be presented in your funnel.

If you have any questions about any of the topics we’ve covered so far, just reply to this message.

Thank you for tuning in. Talk soon!

Sincerely,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 18 – Will cut to the chase…

Howdy firstname,

I really appreciate you for opening this email. The goal of this campaign is to inspire and educate you so that you get your funnel up and running.

Enjoy the content. But work on your funnel too! Alright, let’s get to today’s message…

Do you want to earn more money?

Do you want to experience more success in your business?

Well, learn about Disruption. Here’s a brief intro to disruption:

What is disruption?

Disruptive business models are a type of disruptive innovation that brings a new idea or technology to an existing market.

How can it help me in my funnel?

This is for high-level branding and biz direction however disruption can go down to your core business processes

Think about your brand and customer experience as a whole and how you can do things to be unique.

This is part of the market research and is not exactly funnel-related you need to be different. These are 3 of my favorite books to learn more about the topic:

Here is a great Zero to One summary YouTube video that has given me much insight.

How to design my biz with disruption?

Spend more time on market research.

Write down what features everyone is competing on. Include all of the visible features like price, design, customer experience, add-ons, social proof etc.

Look at what’s currently being offered and ask: How could it be different?

This is related to your Unique Selling Proposition. And you may change it along the development of your business.

Spend (more) time studying the market you are in and what has already been created to become a better student of the market and supply and demand.

Disruption is not something you want to skip. You want to evaluate your business presence often to see if you look like someone else.

Think deeply about this. You can also develop into your disruption as you create and grow your brand.

Either way, don’t let this idea slip. Start doing your study of disruption today.

If you want some help, just reply to this message.

Otherwise, stay tuned. More valuable information on the way!

✓✓ Day 19 – A faster way to create great copy…

Hello firstname,

What you learn is yours. Keep learning.

Don’t even take my word for it. Back it up with your own research and experience.

Copywriting quote?

The topic of today is swipe files.

Do you want your head to be more clear?

Do you want to keep better track of your great ideas?

Then you need to create your swipe file and use it as a production resource.

What is a swipe file?

Something simple like a notepad file or a memo file.

How can it help me?

Really how much time can it save me? Sometimes I can spend up to 5 minutes on a tweet.

Imagine creating that ahead of time and saving some time from switching focus you go straight to your swipe file.

I can only tell you as a high-volume writer how valuable this would be for you.

How do you use one?

Just save it to your PC or use a Cloud resource.

How can I get started today?

Youtube video on how to make a swipe file

Best places to practice and create one. Google Drive could work too.

Just copy and paste and maybe organize by sentiment or category.

Have your friends tell you if they see a catchy commercial or ad and send it to you if you having trouble finding inspiration.

You want to save it in a cloud-based application in case you see something catchy on the go

I use Evernote and One Note.

You want to be more efficient with your time so you can focus on other projects at hand.

Swipe files can help with this.

The copy gets people to take action and you want to record all copy like this for quick reference.

Over time you will have a large file of inspiration.

Social proof certainly helps I look at the greatest volume of retweets on Twitter

✓✓ Day 26 – Wait what? Game-changing tips you’ll wish you knew sooner.

Hi firstname,

In most cases, you cannot force someone to do something that they don’t want to do.

With human psychology, you can understand what attracts your target customer and how they think.

To get people to take more action, here are some tips you can use:

  • Make it really easy for them to take the action you want
  • Use the right words in your copy to draw your reader in
  • Always identify “What’s in it for Them”
  • Speak to your reader’s World View/Values
  • Reward behavior if done correctly

If you are not getting the traffic you desire, or people are not taking the action you desire after you send them to your site then…

You may not be:

  • engaging enough (having more conversations with people on social)
  • posting enough (are you posting regular content that your audience would find valuable to them)
  • writing great Headlines. learn how to write headlines that get people to click.
  • Just search online and there are endless examples to model

✓ Day 1 – Defunking an old myth to sales funnels

Hey firstname,

The most popular question I get from entrepreneurs when they build their first sales funnel is how long it should be.

There is no simple answer.

It needs to be long enough to accomplish your goal, which is to get people to buy your core offer and stick with you.

Start with your final product and think about what offers you can make at each stage to qualify leads and start converting them to buyers. Then, make your sales funnel just as long as it needs to be.

We will talk more about how to do this in the next week so stick around.

Take care and talk soon.

—Delles

  • What the wording will say on your landing page
  • What type of lead magnet to give away

Each funnel and each target market is different, but there’s one best practice that all sales funnels need to have…

You need to offer value to your customers with each offer.

I prefer to look at problems my target customers are having. And then my offers are related to solutions for them.

If someone solves a problem you are having, that is valuable.

Think about it.

What can you offer to the world?

Write down a list if you haven’t already.

Warmly,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 4 – How Picasso would create a funnel

Hello firstname,

I hope you are having a great day so far. Here’s the daily funnel tip:

What helps is to diagram your funnel from start to finish. Start with the end goal in mind: the result you want to get for your clients.

Then you can reverse engineer from the end goal to the very first step.

Your funnel diagram is a step-by-step flow diagram of the events that take your prospect from “cold lead” to “a customer who has made a purchase”.

There’s an example of a funnel diagram that converts new Twitter followers to new email list subscribers (at the bottom).

We will talk more about how to do this in future messages. This is a fundamental skill of funnel-based marketing.

If you want to start creating yours, you can use a tool like Draw.io or Google Drawings.

Your friend,

—Delles

✓ Day 5 – Driving traffic to your funnels like Nascar

The best types of lead magnets are:

  • courses
  • e-books
  • checklists
  • worksheets
  • guides
  • exclusive video playlist

And there are many more.

Keep your problem in mind, and start to think about the people who have that problem and want it solved in their lives.

So how much does it cost to create your funnel?

You can get the Landing page for free. It only costs if you want to put your own custom domain like www.groundupbiz.com.

Most software will allow you to design the landing page with only the essential features you need. Then you can Publish it with a subdomain (a free domain provided to you).

Once your landing page is live, you can start driving traffic and converting a portion of that traffic to email subscribers.

As you grow your list and get more comfortable with the process, you can upgrade to get more advanced features like auto-responders.

Auto-responders allow you to program a sequence of emails ahead of time to be delivered to your subscriber at future dates.

4 email marketing software I have used that can help you create your funnel:

  1. Get Response (what I currently use)
  2. Mailchimp
  3. Groove Funnels
  4. Squarespace

I think the best strategy is to do your research and test each of these software on the free version. Or just pick one and gain your experience by practicing.

Whatever you do, just get started! We will discuss more in the future.

If you’re interested in knowing more about the details of your sales marketing funnel and other tasks related, you can read my blog post here.

Your friend,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 8 – Grow your audience: Shall we review Lead Magnets again?

Dear firstname,

Today is a great day. Let’s make the most of it!

In this email, I want to cover Lead Magnets again.

Lead magnets are the first core component of your funnel. Most lead magnets are created to solve a problem your target customer is having.

A lead magnet is a free item or service that is given away for the purpose of gathering contact details such as name and email. Some common lead magnets are:

  • ebooks
  • video playlists
  • courses
  • checklists
  • guides
  • e-newsletters

The best lead magnets offer expert insight, insider knowledge, a quicker way to get something done, or some other creative and unique content.

Ideally, the lead magnet will excite your prospect because they will have something that will help solve their problem(s).

How long should it take to create your lead magnet?

It shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to create your first edition.

A couple of notes in notepad with key insight, a short video, or possibly a checklist can be created quickly. This will be good for now.

If your emails share more about your story and who you are and why you do it, then there’s another element of trust being delivered to your subscribers.

You may also include a video on your landing page.

Note: Most people know what a website is so tell people to go to your website. Landing page is a marketing term.

If your prospect perceives the LEAD MAGNET as valuable and your LANDING PAGE conveys how your lead magnet is:

  • a solution to their problems
  • the missing piece to get their desires
  • just a few clicks away from being in “their hands”

Then they are more likely to submit their contact information.

Your landing page should be a simple, one-page website. Your prospect will have two options on this page: to submit their information or leave the website.

Homework: Find one or a few landing pages online that you like.

Observe and take note of what you would like to include on your landing page. We are going to start building in the next emails.

If you want some help, just reply to this message. I’ll be sharing some great examples I’ve found in the next email, so stick around!

Your friend,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 12 – Don’t even think about creating your Landing Page until you read this

Hey firstname,

Learning about funnels will change your life for the better.

You may be worried that it will take too much time or be too complex.

Just take it one step at a time.

The reward of getting through this project is an automated marketing system. And then, an automated sales system that will make your life easier.

  • Good vs bad examples
  • How to create a landing page
  • The best platforms to build a landing page on
  • How to start testing your landing page and “Go Live”

Today’s email is a reminder to:

  • Think deeper about your target audience (do the worksheet exercise below)
  • Focus your content creation and engagement efforts where your target audience is hanging out online
  • Work on: Knowing your customer better than they know themselves

  1. Copywriting Guide: 5 Rules To Become A Master
  2. Complete Copywriting Tutorial – Examples, Tips and Formulas

No matter what you think about yourself as a writer this is something you want to look into.

Don’t count yourself out before you try.

You CAN do it.

Start working on your copywriting skills today. It will pay you tenfold.

If you have any questions, just reply to this message.

Otherwise, stay tuned. More valuable information is on the way!

Your friend,

—Delles

✓✓ Day 16 – [[firstname]], let’s talk more about copywriting!

Howdy firstname,

“You are one funnel away from living your dream life.”

Starting with a statement like that has some major weight.

There is truth to it.

But one piece that can be overlooked in your funnel is the copywriting… so that’s why we are talking about it AGAIN.

Copywriting can launch your business forward. What you write online is one of the primary difference makers in why people choose to buy from you or not.

So pay attention to this skill and work hard to improve on it.

When you create, you need to understand the attention span and emotions of your reader.

Copywriting is not about fancy words or looking smart. Here are some of the core principles:

  • Simple words
  • Keep it short
  • Address your message to one person
  • Line spacing for easy reading
  • Understand who exactly you are writing for

Have a goal for your message and a call to action in mind before you write. A call to action is what you want your reader to do after consuming the message.

  1. 100M Offers by Alex Hormozi
  2. The Lean Startup by Eric Ries
  3. The Irresistible Offer by Mark Joyner

  • Zero to One by Peter Theil
  • Blue Ocean Strategy by Renée Mauborgne and W. Chan Kim
  • Review Unscripted by made for value arrays and value skewing

Here to help,

If you want some help, just reply to this message. I got you!

Have a nice day,

—Delles
